Laleh comes to us from exotic Persia, who gave the world wine, ice cream and cookies; they invented the Tar – which was to become the guitar; they introduced peaches to the west and were the first to cultivate tulips.
They have given us beautiful Persian carpets and the Taj Mahal. Suffice to say the Persians are old, old hands at giving the world beautiful and delicious things, and with Laleh it looks like they’re not planning on stopping anytime soon.
